About This Provider

Dr. Damian Sorce has practiced urology in Denver since 2008. He practices general urology with a major focus on prostate cancer. He founded and leads the Advanced Prostate Cancer Clinic for Colorado Urology, offering patients with localized high risk and metastatic prostate cancer cutting edge therapies such as Provenge, Xiofigo, Keytruda and Pluvicto.

Dr. Sorce also specializes in robotic and minimally invasive surgery for a variety of urologic cancers and is a pioneer in precision, focal prostate cancer treatments in Colorado. He was the first surgeon to perform both HIFU, and nanoknife treatments in Colorado, and is a proctor for other physicians learning both techniques. He also works closely with a national leader in brachytherapy, Dr. Bhatnagar, in performing low dose prostate brachytherapy. By adding a third focal treatment, Dr. Sorce is now able to individually tailor treatments and techniques, customizing prostate cancer surgery for patients. By modifying techniques to a patient, Dr. Sorce can achieve superior functional and oncological outcomes.

Dr. Sorce strives for patient advocacy, doctor accessibility, and a personal touch for each patient relationship. His patient ratings have earned him several awards from Vitals.com: Patients’ Choice Physician Award (2009-2011, 2014,16,18); Compassionate Care Award (2010-2016,18); On-Time Doctor Award (2009, 2014-18); Top 10 Metro Doctor Award; and Top 10 State Doctor Award (2014). All are a testimony to his patient-focused approach.

After graduating Cum Laude from Amherst College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology, Dr. Sorce was a biomedical consultant and received his Master of Science degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology, Summa Cum Laude, from Hunter College. He then attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, graduating Cum Laude, and was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society and received the Pittsburgh Surgical Society Outstanding Medical Student award. After completing his general surgery training at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City, Dr. Sorce finished his urology surgery residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.
