About This Provider

Dr. Segal is fellowship-trained in male sexual medicine. He practices general urology specializes in male sexual dysfunction conditions including hypogonadism (low testosterone), priapism, premature ejaculation, and erectile dysfunction. He also specializes in penile implants. In addition, Dr. Segal treats Peyronie’s disease and is a specialist in the Xiaflex® treatment for men with this condition. As a general urologist, Dr. Segal also focuses on male incontinence, urethral strictures, and enlarged prostate (BPH), and performs the UroLift procedure for the treatment of BPH.

Dr. Segal is involved in clinical trials in conjunction with Chesapeake Urology Research Associates, a division of Chesapeake Urology. While at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Dr. Segal coordinated several research studies and clinical trials for erectile dysfunction following radical prostatectomy. He has co-authored multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals and has presented studies at urology and sexual medicine conferences.

Dr. Segal earned his Medical Doctorate degree at Canada’s McGill University School of Medicine in Montreal, Quebec, where he also completed his General Surgery Internship and Urology Residency. He then completed a Fellowship in Male Sexual Medicine at Johns Hopkins.

While in medical training at McGill University, Dr. Segal was awarded the Frank McGill Travel Fellowship award and the Quebec Urology Association Scholarship. He received a research grant from the Sexual Medicine Society of North America and was elected to the Golden Key National Honour Society at McGill University.

Dr. Segal is a member of the American Urological Association and the Sexual Medicine Society of North America. He serves on the surgical quality improvement subcommittee at MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital and has co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications as well as book chapters.
