About This Provider

Dr. Rhett Daugherty is a general urologist who specializes in a variety of urologic conditions from BPH, low testosterone, and male genital surgeries, to general urologic issues including stone disease, urinary incontinence, and recurrent UTIs. In addition, Dr. Daugherty focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of urologic cancers including prostate cancer and performs transperineal and transrectal ultrasound-guided prostate biopsies. For the treatment of BPH/enlarged prostate in men, Dr. Daugherty specializes in minimally invasive therapies including UroLift, Rezūm, and Greenlight Laser Therapy, as well as treatments for urinary incontinence such as Interstim and Botox.

Prior to joining Chesapeake Urology’s Brandywine office in October 2021, Dr. Daugherty served as a Urologist with practices that included New Jersey Urology and Delaware Valley Urology in Mount Laurel, NJ, and Urology Physicians in Lumberton, NJ. He began his careers as an Assistant Chief of Urology at Wright Patterson Air Force Basein Dayton, OH, one of the Air Force’s largest medical centers, providing care for over 600,000 visits and 10,000 admissions yearly.

He is a member of several professional associations including the American Urological Association, American Medical Association, American Association of Clinical Urologists, the American College of Surgeons, American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, and the Large Urology Group Practice Association (LUGPA).
