Dr. Priyanka Kancherla is a comprehensive urologist with a special interest in minimally invasive and robotic surgical techniques to treat a broad variety of urologic conditions and female pelvic health. Her areas of specialty include general urology conditions with a focus on BPH/enlarged prostate, kidney stones, erectile dysfunction, urologic cancers, elevated PSA/prostate cancer and female urologic conditions.
Dr. Kancherla received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Tufts University in Medford, MA with honors in Biology and Spanish. She graduated from medical school at the State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate Health Sciences University in Brooklyn, NY. She then completed urology residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY.
Dr. Kancherla has presented her research at multiple urology conferences including the American Urological Association Annual Meeting where she was awarded Best Poster in 2019. Her work is published in numerous peer-reviewed medical journals. She also authored a textbook chapter about minimally invasive surgery for pelvic organ prolapse. She is a member of the American Urological Association (AUA) and the Society of Women in Urology (SWIU).
