In addition to general urology, Dr. Sterling’s clinical areas of specialty include male and female voiding dysfunction, overactive bladder, and urinary incontinence. She also specializes in kidney stone treatment, including management of large kidney stones with Percutaneous
Nephrolithotomy (PCNL).

Dr. Sterling is a specialist in Axonics sacral neuromodulation therapy, a treatment for bladder and bowel dysfunction. Previously, Dr. Sterling served as a Surface Warfare Officer in the United States Navy where she was stationed onboard the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman during Operation Iraqi Freedom. During this time, she was awarded the Navy-Marine Corps Commendation Medal.

Prior, she devised and executed emergency response training for the USS Normandy, where she led an engineering division and served as a public affairs liaison while deployed to the Mediterranean Sea and the Persian Gulf.
