About This Provider
Dr. Shahabi is a pathologist with fellowship training in genitourinary pathology as well as cytopathology. He is the author of 9 publications in the peer-reviewed literature with 5 concerning urological pathology. During both of his residencies, Dr. Shahabi was named Chief Resident of Pathology at Metrohealth Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio (2019) and Chief Resident of Urology in Modares Hospital in Tehran, Iran (2009-2010).
Currently, Dr. Shahabi has two active research projects: Urothelial Carcinoma in Situ versus Early High-Grade Papillary Urothelial Carcinoma and Mullerian Serous Borderline Tumors of the Paratesti.
Prior to joining Chesapeake Urology, Dr. Shahabi was a Cytopathology fellow at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.
