Bringing Thanksgiving to Baltimore's Zion Baptist Church - Chesapeake Urology

OWINGS MILLS, MD (November 24, 2020) — Chesapeake Urology Associates, the premier urology practice in Maryland and the Mid-Atlantic region, continues its tradition of giving back and supporting the community by donating food to the Zion Baptist Church holiday food program.

Chesapeake Urology and Dr. Sanford J. Siegel, Co-Chairman of the Board, United Urology Group, made a contribution of 100 turkeys and 100 hams that were delivered on Saturday, November 21, to Zion Baptist Church. In total, these contributions will help to provide carry-out meals for more than 2,500 people in the community this Thanksgiving. Santoni’s Marketplace and Catering, Glyndon, MD, and Giant Food helped secure the turkeys and hams. Santoni’s also provided sub sandwiches for volunteers who contributed their time that day.

Dr. Siegel is proud of Chesapeake Urology’s tradition, “One of our core values is to support and to give back to the communities in which we live and work. With the holidays approaching, and COVID-19 disrupting people’s lives, we know that organizations need our support more than ever. We are proud to stand side by side with Dr. Marshall F. Prentice, Pastor, and the Zion Baptist Church family this Thanksgiving.”

While Chief Executive Officer of Chesapeake Urology and in conjunction with Baltimore City churches, Dr. Siegel initiated the practice’s free prostate cancer screening program in 2007. As part of that program, Chesapeake Urology has worked with and supported Zion Baptist Church with free prostate cancer screenings for more than ten years.
