Northwest Healthcare, TMC Health and Arizona Urology Specialists Partner to Enhance Access to Urological Care in Tucson

(September 23, 2022) -- Northwest Healthcare, TMC Health and Arizona Urology Specialists have formed a partnership to open a urologic specialty center to increase patient access to diagnostic tools, treatment and advanced therapies for a range of urologic conditions. Tucson Urologic Surgery Center, which is now open, includes three procedure rooms, dedicated pre-op and recovery areas to deliver convenient, outpatient services to patients in the facility at 4745 E. Camp Lowell Dr.

“We are excited to bring greater access to care and the convenience of outpatient surgery to our patients in Tucson,” said Dr. Kalpesh Patel of Arizona Urology Specialists. “The Tucson Urologic Surgery Center, operated by specialty-trained surgical staff and providers, offers high-quality care in a comfortable, private setting.”

Tucson Urologic Surgery Center gives patients an alternative for urologic procedures that do not require an overnight hospital stay. The procedure rooms are equipped for bladder Botox injections, circumcision, cystoscopy, treatment of bladder lesions, prostate biopsies, UroLift and vasectomies. The physicians of Arizona Urology Specialists diagnose and treat all types of urological conditions for men and women. They evaluate and treat prostate, kidney, bladder and testicular disorders, cancer, incontinence and other bladder problems, erectile dysfunction, male or female sexuality and vasectomies.

“This partnership expands access to urology services in our community and creates high-quality surgical options at a lower cost for patients,” said Judy Rich, TMC Health CEO. “We value the relationship and trust we’ve developed with the urologists and take pride in the quality of care we provide. This is an exciting opportunity for us.”

In addition to the surgery center on Camp Lowell, the group has already broken ground on a second urology center in Northwest Tucson, with a projected opening in summer 2023.

“We are excited to continue to grow our services in a way that will have a positive impact for patients throughout Tucson,” said Brian Sinotte, Market CEO of Northwest Healthcare. “We look forward to partnering with Arizona Urology Specialists and TMC to bring needed healthcare to our community.”
