About This Provider

Dr. Karlovsky comes to Arizona Urology Specialists as our Director of Female Pelvic Health. He plans to operate a full-service urology and urogynecology practice with concentrations in all types of bladder disorders in women and men, neuro-urological diseases, and genitourinary implants. He spent the previous decade at Arizona State Urological Institute treating a wide-ranging array or urological conditions but has been practicing in the East Valley since 2005.

As an accomplished instructor, Dr. Karlovsky serves as a faculty physician at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. He has offered live presentations and webinars on malpractice prevention, case reviews on vaginal mesh surgeries, and worked as a peer reviewer for multiple prestigious publications, including Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery and the International Urogynecology Journal.

Dr. Karlovsky has authored peer-reviewed articles for publication, featured in such journals as Urology, Current Urology Reports, and AUANews, and published a book in 2012 entitled Female Urinary Incontinence. He has written book chapters on BPH and bladder rehabilitation after stroke and brain injury and offered many live presentations at meetings ranging from the American Urological Association, Western Section American Urological Association, and the American Urogynecologic Society.

His accomplishments and expertise have been recognized throughout his schooling and professional career, starting with graduating cum laude from Brandeis University in 1993. Later that year, he received the Project Otzma Award for volunteer service. He was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society in 1998 and earned the Pfizer Scholars in Urology Award in 2002 and 2003.

Dr. Karlovsky is board certified in Urology and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (Urogynecology) by the American Board of Urology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Karlovsky speaks fluent Hebrew and medical Spanish and is currently seeing patients in our Mesa office.
