Who We Are

The Nation’s Leading Urology Management Services Organization

Work with United Urology

United Urology Group is the country’s leading urology management services organization providing clinical and operational support to urology practices nationwide. Our vision is to grow our national network of urology affiliates through our commitment to accessible, high quality, cost-effective care, patient satisfaction, and community involvement.

United Urology was established in August 2016, as Chesapeake Urology embarked on a vision to create a national network of market-leading urology practices. This formed the basis of United Urology, which currently employs more than 1,500 employees nationwide and supports more than 220 clinicians practicing in five states.

“We will grow nationally by supporting the independent practice of Urology and holding true to our mission, vision, and values with a focus on our patients, employees, and the communities within which we serve.”

-Robert Maha, MD, CEO, United Urology Group

Since our founding in 2016, we have affiliated with 10 practices nationally serving patients in Arizona, Colorado, Delaware, Maryland, and Tennessee.  In each market, we work with our affiliated practices to collaborate with payors, hospitals, and primary care providers and utilize our capital and operational expertise to assist them in expanding the depth and breadth of their clinical offerings throughout their service areas.

Today, our affiliates include:

“Since joining Chesapeake Urology, we have become more efficient, we utilize our staff to their full potential, and I have a larger network of colleagues to help me better manage and care for my patients. My call is shared with a greater number of providers.  Phone calls are appropriately triaged and screened on weekends by knowledgeable and caring staff.  Every staff member from nurses, ultrasound techs, C-arm operators, medical assistants, front desk, and check-out have exceeded my expectations. Since joining Chesapeake Urology I have had the opportunity to expand my service line.  A great example of this is MRI guided prostate biopsy.  I was trained and proctored by my colleagues and given tremendous support by our expert ultrasonographers.  I have now performed close to 100 biopsies.”

-Frank M. Nezu, M.D., Chesapeake Urology (formerly "Central Maryland Urology Associates")
